Job summary

Heritage Lifecare is seeking a dedicated Caregiver for Chiswick Park Lifecare in Palmerston North. You will provide high-quality care to residents with warmth and empathy, supporting daily activities and ensuring safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Proven caregiving experience, preferably in aged care.
• Minimum NZQA Level 4 in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent qualification (e.g., Nursing degree).
• Minimum six months experience as a caregiver or in a similar role.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude with a passion for helping residents and delivering quality care.

About Our Role:

• Chiswick Park Lifecare, located in Beautiful Palmerston North
• Permanent Full-time Position (32 hours or more per week)
• $32.06 per hour
• AM, PM, Nights and Weekend shifts

You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Minimum NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing).
• Minimum six months experience as a caregiver or in a similar role.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
