Heritage Lifecare's St Johns Hill Lifecare in Whanganui is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support residents with compassion in a welcoming team. This permanent full-time position (32 hours or more per week) offers AM, PM, Nights and weekend shifts.

You will play a pivotal role ensuring residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere, while building strong resident relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Minimum NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent NZ qualification.
• Minimum six months experience as a caregiver or in a similar role.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people with excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement and understanding of health and safety procedures.

About Our Role:

Your Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Minimum NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing)
• Minimum six months experience as a caregiver or in a similar role.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
