Job summary

Broadview Lifecare in Whanganui is seeking a caring Caregiver for casual shifts (AM, PM, Nights and Weekends). You will support residents with daily activities and sustain a warm, empathetic atmosphere that reflects our Heritage community values.

Ideal candidates have proven care experience, NZQA Level Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent, strong communication skills, and a genuine desire to help others. We offer competitive pay, professional development, and a supportive team.

Broadview Lifecare is an 85-bed Care Home and Hospital with a 27-unit Village situated in a rural setting. We provide 4 services levels including psychogeriatric level of care which is a specialised service providing great learning opportunities for staff. About this role

• Broadview Lifecare, located in Beautiful Whanganui
• Casual (as and when required, but regular basis)
• AM, PM, Nights and Weekend shifts

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Caregiver with a passion for caring for others, to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents. You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Minimum NZQA Level Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing).
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
