Job summary

Maxwell Lifecare in Blenheim is seeking a caring Caregiver to join our team. You will provide high-quality resident care in a warm, supportive setting, with AM, PM, night and weekend shifts available.

The role requires a NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent, and at least six months’ experience. Competitive pay and opportunities for development are offered.

About Our Role:

• Maxwell Lifecare located in sunny Blenheim
• Permanent Full-Time (32 or more hours per week)
• Hourly rate $32.06 per hour
• AM, PM, Night and Weekend Shifts

We have a fantastic opportunity for Caregivers with a passion for caring for others, to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents. You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Minimum NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing)
• At least six months of experience as a Caregiver or similar role.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
