Job summary

ARQ Innovation is seeking experienced Learning Designers to join our New Zealand team for 3- to 6-month fixed-term contracts. Roles are available full-time and part-time, with remote work across New Zealand; Auckland-based staff may access a co-working space.

You’ll collaborate with clients and SMEs to turn complex challenges into engaging learning experiences that build capability through scenarios and practice.

Qualifications

• Strong learning design fundamentals.
• Experience working directly with clients, stakeholders and SMEs.
• Ability to turn messy content into clear, engaging learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Run discovery sessions with clients, stakeholders and SMEs.
• Identify real capability or performance needs from content.
• Interpret complex documents and sources to identify what matters.
• Design experiences aligned to skills frameworks and practical application.
• Write storyboards, scenarios, dialogue, narratives and instructional copy.
• Design for ARQ Waypoint and build experiences using FORGE Creator.
• Work in the authoring environment from discovery to final review.
• Manage stakeholder and SME reviews.
• Quality assure experiences before client review.
• Use feedback and data to improve deliverables.
• Contribute to ARQ's AI R&D projects.
