Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking a Principal Innovation Education Specialist - Learning Design to lead the design and codification of learning systems underpinning innovation and entrepreneurship capability development across Waipapa Taumata Rau. You will translate complex methodologies into practical, scalable frameworks and tools for academics, facilitators and partners.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurship methodologies and how people develop capability.
• Experience designing and codifying complex methodologies into clear frameworks, models and tools.
• Ability to design coherent learning architectures across disciplines and contexts.
• Experience designing train-the-trainer or facilitator development for capability building.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of learning frameworks, methodologies, architectures and models for innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Codify programmes and practitioner knowledge into practical playbooks and reusable approaches.
• Design adaptable learning frameworks coherent across the university’s disciplines and contexts.
• Develop train-the-trainer resources and capability-building approaches for academics and partners.
• Create facilitator guidance and quality approaches that support consistent application with adaptability.
• Design learning architectures that progression across innovation capability, translation and venture development paths.
• Develop and test digital and AI-enabled learning approaches and scalable tools.
• Collaborate with CIE teams to test, refine and improve learning frameworks in real-world settings.
• Provide specialist advice and thought leadership on innovation education and capability development.
