Job summary

Air New Zealand Limited is seeking a Capability & Development Coordinator to support Tech Ops learning, early career pathways and development programmes. You’ll ensure systems, information and connections enable growth and success across teams.

You’ll coordinate induction, capability programmes and engagement activities, connecting people across Recruitment, HR and industry partners to keep programmes on track from planning to delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating induction, capability programmes or leadership development.

• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and good reporting.
• Proven ability to use digital tools to improve programme administration.

Great coordination creates great experiences. As our Capability & Development Coordinator, you’ll help bring learning, early career pathways and development programmes to life across Tech Ops, making sure our people have the support, information and connections they need to grow and succeed.

You’ll join the Tech Ops Capability & Development team, providing coordination and administrative support across induction, capability programmes, early careers and engagement activity. You’ll connect people across operational teams, Recruitment, HR, Finance, workforce planning and external education and industry partners, helping programmes run smoothly from planning through to delivery.

How you’ll make an impact

• Coordinate Tech Ops induction, onboarding, leadership development and capability programmes, keeping plans, communications and actions on track
• Support the Capability & Development leadership team with well-organised meetings, agendas, papers, dashboards and action tracking
• Help deliver early career and talent programmes, coordinating recruitment activity, onboarding, participant support, career events and communications
• Maintain accurate programme records and reporting, including attendance, completion, expenditure and budget tracking
• Build strong connections across internal teams and external education, training and industry partners to keep activity moving
• Identify practical improvements to programme administration and reporting, using digital tools and approved AI solutions to reduce administrative effort.

Success will mean well-organised programmes, accurate information and reporting, timely follow-through, strong stakeholder coordination, and practical improvements that reduce administrative effort.

What you’ll bring

• Around 2 to 4 years’ experience in coordination, administration, programme support, training, HR, recruitment, education or a similar environment
• Experience supporting leaders and coordinating meetings, actions, communications, reporting and follow-up
• Experience supporting programmes such as induction, training, early careers, workforce development or employee capability
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with excellent attention to detail and confidence coordinating activity across multiple stakeholders
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, confidence with Microsoft 365 and digital tools, and an interest in using approved AI solutions to improve efficiency
• A relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience. Experience in aviation, engineering, tertiary education or another regulated or technical environment would be an advantage, not essential.
