Job summary

Covenant Living seeks an accomplished facilities leader to direct the Facilities Department at our Otago campus. You will oversee maintenance, grounds, and apartment refurbishments, align safety programs with campus standards, and coordinate with contractors and in-house teams to meet timelines.

The role requires strong project management, staff leadership, and the ability to develop policies while maintaining capital refurbishment plans in line with marketing and administration goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management or Business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Facilities Department including maintenance, grounds, and apartment refurbishments.
• Oversee safety programs and ensure compliance with applicable statutes and campus safety.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and in-house staff; manage work order scheduling and timely completion.
• Hire, train, evaluate and develop facilities staff in collaboration with leadership and HR.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures; oversee preventative maintenance and capital refurb allocation.
