Job summary

MITRE 10 MEGA Cafe Greymouth is seeking a reliable FOH/Chef cover on a permanent part-time basis (24.5 hours per week). The role involves working Monday/Tuesday mornings, Friday, and Saturday shifts, with responsibilities including Barista duties, baking, cabinet and food production, short order breakfasts, and maintaining high food safety and presentation standards.

The successful candidate will be self-driven, a team player, calm under pressure and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a cafe setting with ability to cover a full-time Chef on days off.
• Barista trained and baking experience required.
• Cabinet and food production experience including short order breakfast menus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Cover the full-time Chef on his days off at MITRE 10 MEGA Cafe Greymouth.
• Maintain high standards of service, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Prepare and present cafe food and beverages efficiently during shifts.

MITRE 10 MEGA Cafe Greymouth requires a permanent 24.5 hour per week FOH/ Chef cover to be part of our skilled and motivated team.

The successful applicant will be someone who is self-driven, shows a real passion for food with a commitment to success. They will be a team player, stay calm, cheerful and focused under pressure and appreciate the importance of exceeding customer expectations.

The successful applicant will need to have experience working in a cafe setting with ability to cover our full-time Chef on his days off, proven experience with the below will also be required.
