Job summary

Summerset Nelson Village is seeking a Café Assistant to deliver warm hospitality, craft great coffee, and prepare tasty cabinet foods for residents, families, and visitors. You will help make our café a welcoming hub where everyone feels at home and supported by a friendly team.

This casual, as-needed role covers shifts across the week, often with little notice; you’ll handle cash, provide barista services, support village events, and contribute to a safe, tidy dining area with excellent service.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or café experience
• Superb barista skills
• The ability to be flexible and pick up shifts across the week often with little notice
• A warm, friendly personality with great customer service skills
• Excellent communication and the ability to multitask

We’re now looking for a Café Assistant for our Nelson Villagewho shares our love for people and hospitality.

You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our café. From making great coffee to creating tasty cabinet food and light meals, you’ll help make our café a warm and welcoming place for residents, their families, and visitors. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, presenting, and serving food and drinks to a high standard

• Assisting with catering for village events and resident functions
• Handling cash and reconciling daily takings

This role is a casual role on a as and when needs basis.
