Are you a driven technology sales professional with strong relationships across the New Zealand IT channel and a passion for creating new opportunities?

We're looking for a high performing Business Development Manager to join a successful team and continue to drive growth in our HPE portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of New Zealand's leading technology distributors and play a key role in expanding HPE's presence across our channel.

As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying, creating, and closing new business opportunities, driving partner engagement, and executing growth initiatives that deliver results. Working closely with our vendor, sales and marketing teams, you'll build strong market momentum and help partners unlock the full value of HPE's market-leading solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and execute growth strategies to increase sales across the HPE portfolio, with a strong focus on net new business.
• Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities, maintaining accurate forecasting and reporting through CRM.
• Drive outbound sales activity across reseller and end-user channels, developing relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
• Own the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification through to successful closure.
• Collaborate with Vendor Business Managers, Account Managers, and Marketing to execute business and marketing plans that accelerate growth.
• Support HPE initiatives, campaigns, and partner programs, driving engagement and adoption within the channel.
• Lead compelling customer and partner presentations, clearly articulating the business value of HPE solutions.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities and provide market insights.
• Assist with partner enablement, training, and certification activities to strengthen HPE capability across the channel.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Experience in technology sales, business development, or channel sales within the New Zealand market.
• Established relationships and networks across the New Zealand technology ecosystem.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing pricing, margins, forecasts, and revenue targets.
• Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and build long-term strategic partnerships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work autonomously and deliver results.
• Experience working with vendors, partners, and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced technology environment.
• Knowledge of infrastructure, hybrid cloud, networking, storage, or related enterprise technologies will be highly regarded.
