Job summary

Suncorp New Zealand is seeking a Business Development Manager to strengthen broker partnerships across Auckland and the Upper North Island. You will manage a growing portfolio, deliver profitable growth, and provide exceptional service to brokers and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, relationship management or account management.
• Commercially minded and customer-focused with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Ability to manage your own portfolio while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted, long-term relationships with brokers and become their go-to contact.
• Identify opportunities to grow business across your portfolio and increase product penetration.
• Develop and execute account plans that deliver strong commercial outcomes.
• Influence broker placement decisions through trusted partnerships and market expertise.
• Work closely with underwriting teams to secure competitive solutions for brokers and customers.
• Support brokers with complex submissions, major renewals and new business opportunities.
• Promote the Vero brand, products and capabilities in market.
• Monitor market trends and share insights that help shape regional growth strategies.
• Travel regularly to maintain strong broker relationships and market presence.
