Suncorp New Zealand, based in Christchurch, is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow broker partnerships across the South Island. You will be out in market, meeting brokers, understanding their needs and turning conversations into long-term business partnerships.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, relationship management or a similar commercial role.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and achieve results.
• Comfortable managing a portfolio, navigating priorities and delivering for customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of broker partners across the South Island.
• Build trusted relationships with brokers and become their go-to contact.
• Identify opportunities to grow business across your portfolio.
• Develop and execute account plans delivering strong commercial outcomes.
• Work with underwriting and internal teams to support brokers and customers.
• Help brokers navigate opportunities, challenges and complex insurance solutions.
• Represent the Vero brand in market and champion what makes us different.
• Keep close to market trends and share insights to shape our approach.
• Travel regularly throughout the region to stay connected with your broker network.
