Job summary

SBS Wealth is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to own the primary commercial relationship with adviser partners across the North Island. You will drive growth, engage stakeholders, and shape the Partner Programme with market insights and strategic recommendations.

In this role you will build deep partnerships, conduct reviews, and develop account plans to expand funds under management and adviser referrals, while travelling across the Auckland region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in relationship management, adviser distribution, business development, account management, or financial services partnerships.
• Strong understanding of the New Zealand financial advice and wealth management landscape.
• Proven ability to build trusted commercial relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong business development and growth orientation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary commercial relationship owner for assigned adviser partners across the North Island.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with adviser business owners, financial advisers, paraplanners, and key stakeholders.
• Conduct regular business reviews, strategic planning discussions, and relationship meetings.
• Develop a deep understanding of partner business models, client segments, growth opportunities, and strategic priorities.
• Drive long-term partner satisfaction, retention, advocacy, and growth.
• Develop and maintain account plans for key partner firms.
• Drive growth in funds under management, referral activity, and partner engagement.
• Identify opportunities to increase SBS Wealth's presence within existing adviser businesses.
• Develop and execute growth plans for key partners and distribution channels.
• Identify and secure new adviser partnership opportunities.
