Job summary

The Mariner Bar Limited in Titahi Bay, Porirua, is seeking a permanent Bar Manager to lead daily operations of The Mariner Bar. You will oversee bar, food and gambling services across a seven-day schedule, ensuring high standards and efficient service.

Key duties include staff rostering, LCQ compliance, stock control, event planning, recruitment, training and delivering customer satisfaction. Weekend and public holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• LCQ (Sale and Supply of Alcohol) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage staff rosters to ensure optimal service across seven-day operations.
• Oversee compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol.
• Manage stock levels, purchasing and order deliveries to prevent shortages.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly.
• Set specials and organise events to attract customers and enhance reputation.
• Lead recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training and supervision of staff.
• Ensure weekend and public holiday coverage.
