Job summary

Foodstuffs South Island Limited is seeking a part-time Bakery Assistant in Christchurch to join our busy bakery team. You will help package, label and present bakery products, while applying high food-safety standards and accuracy in daily tasks.

You will perform finishing touches on baked goods and support the team with efficient day-to-day operations, maintaining enthusiasm and a positive attitude in a fast-paced supermarket environment.

• Good physical fitness with ability to lift up to 20kg.

Responsibilities

• Packaging and labelling bakery products for shelves.
• Finishing touches on sweet products (icing, buns, cakes).

We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Bakery Assistant to join our fantastic Bakery team. The days and hours of the role are Sunday and Monday 5am-1:30pm

Your day to day:

• Packaging and labelling our delicious bakery products ready to go on the shelves
• Putting finishing touches on sweet products - such as icing biscuits, buns, cakes (full training is provided)
• Working efficiently and staying organised while managing your own workload
• Completing daily tasks and communicating effectively with the team
• Maintaining excellent food safety and health and safety standards at all times
• Using initiative to prioritise tasks and plan your day
