Job summary

Foodstuffs NZ at New World Ashburton is seeking a Bakery Assistant to pack and present bakery products, ensure department cleanliness and stock, and uphold food safety standards in a busy shop.

The role is hands-on, training will be provided, and you’ll work as part of a supportive bakery team to deliver quality to the local community. Shift is Tue-Sat from 4:00am to 12:30pm, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery, food preparation, or supermarket is advantageous but training will be provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Pack and present a variety of bakery products (bread, cakes, muffins, biscuits, specialty items).
• Keep the department clean, organized, and well-stocked; maintain food safety and quality standards.

As a Bakery Assistant, you'll be responsible for packing and presenting a variety of bakery products, including bread, cakes, muffins, biscuits, and specialty items. You'll help keep the department clean, organized, and well-stocked while ensuring food safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where attention to detail and teamwork are essential

Tuesday to Saturday - 4:00am to 12:30pm (40hrs per week)
