Foodstuffs NZ is seeking a part-time Bakery Assistant in Christchurch to join our busy bakery team. If you’re energetic, reliable and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role offers great hours and job security within a well-known supermarket.

You’ll provide packaging, preparation, and quality customer service while upholding food safety standards. The role schedule is Sundays and Mondays 5am-1:30pm, with training and support to help you grow in a friendly, community-focused store.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication are essential.
• Strong work ethic and hustle required.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time.
• Good physical fitness with the ability to lift up to 20 kg.
• Great presentation and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Packaging and labelling bakery products for shelves.
• Applying icing on biscuits, buns and cakes with training provided.
• Staying organized and prioritizing tasks to manage your workload.
• Communicating effectively with the team to maintain smooth operations.
• Maintaining food safety and health and safety standards at all times.
