Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is seeking a Bakery Assistant Manager to help lead our busy bakery team. The role suits someone who loves early mornings, fresh bread, and working with great people.

You will support the Bakery Manager in daily operations and supervise bakers and assistants to deliver quality products and friendly service. You will manage stock, assist with ordering, uphold food safety standards, and help train new team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in a bakery or food production environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Knowledge of food safety practices.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the Bakery Manager in daily operations
• Leading and motivating a team of bakers and assistants
• Ensuring top-quality products and excellent customer service
• Managing stock levels and assisting with ordering
• Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
• Training new team members and supporting development
• Stepping up when the Bakery Manager is away

Rostered days are Tuesday - Saturday (Hours to be discussed)
