Job summary

Foodstuffs South Island Limited in Canterbury is seeking a friendly Bakery Department team member. No experience needed as full training will be provided; you will help with packaging, pricing and presenting bakery products while ensuring clean and tidy work areas.

You must work well under pressure, maintain a high standard of personal presentation, and be reliable. Hours include Monday 12:00–4:00, Tuesday 12:00–4:00 and Sunday 7:00–15:30.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and presentable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery team with afternoon packaging, pricing and presentation.

As a member of our team, your primary focus will be on delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers playing a crucial role in ensuring that our customers have access to a wide variety of quality bakery products, whilst maintaining the cleanliness of the department.

Successful candidates will be required to provide excellent customer service, maintain a positive attitude, thrive under pressure, and exhibit physical agility and positivity. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to cultivate relationships with regular customers, providing them with the exceptional experience they deserve. Day to day tasks:

• Assisting the Bakery team with afternoon packaging, pricing and presenting our Bakery products
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Bakery department
• Maintaining the implementation of our Food and Health and Safety requirements.

The hours for the role are:

Monday: 12.00pm-4.00pm

Tuesday: 12.00pm-4.00pm

Sunday: 7.00am-3.30pm

No experience needed, as full training will be provided.
