Job summary

Fitness Passport is expanding in New Zealand and seeking a curious, resilient Business Development Representative. You’ll be the first contact for employers and fitness facilities, qualifying opportunities and building a strong NZ facility network to grow our B2B2C program.

You’ll engage HR and senior stakeholders, research potential clients, and manage inbound leads to support partnerships that enhance the NZ program offering. This is a brand-new role with room to grow within our NZ team.

Qualifications

• Passion for fitness and wellbeing.
• Confident on the phone and in writing, including with business owners and senior stakeholders.
• Resilience with a positive attitude; you handle rejection.
• Love of learning and openness to feedback.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to balance high activity with quality.
• Curious and research-minded to assess employer fit quickly.
• Experience in the fitness industry or with gym owners is desirable.
• CRM experience (Salesforce) is a bonus.
• Up to 2 years in sales, business development or customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Identify target employers and build lists aligned with our ideal customer profile.
• Initiate conversations via calls, emails, and LinkedIn with HR and leadership.
• Qualify opportunities with clear notes; hand over leads for discovery meetings.
• Grow the gym and facilities network in NZ regions lacking coverage.
• Follow up inbound leads, keep Salesforce up-to-date, and share market feedback.
