Job summary

Amazon Inc. in New Zealand seeks a Technical Account Manager to collaborate with ISVs, architect for scale and drive AWS adoption. You will lead reviews, optimise cloud operations and guide product roadmaps with senior stakeholders.

The role focuses on hands-on architecture, cost control and operational excellence, supporting customers across NZ while earning AWS certifications and contributing to the Enterprise Support team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AI and cloud platform experience.
• Experience presenting to executives, IT and developers.
• Background in software development or Internet industries.
• Experience migrating or modernising legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• DevOps practices with AWS and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor to ISV customers for architecting, optimising and scaling software on AWS.
• Conduct Operational Reviews and architecture deep-dives for SaaS multi-tenant workloads.
• Drive cost reduction and reliability improvements across customer environments.
• Lead technical discussions on incident management, trade-offs, and risk mitigation.
• Identify opportunities to accelerate outcomes via AWS service adoption and architectural improvements.
• Deliver business reviews with actionable insights and progress tracking.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services and Account Managers.
• Enable customer teams through targeted workshops and hands-on labs.
• Lead pre-launch planning to ensure readiness for critical launches.
• Engage with stakeholders from engineers to CTOs, building trust through depth and delivery.
