Job summary

Contact Energy is hiring a Cloud Engineer to help build and evolve our cloud platforms, enabling technology teams to deliver meaningful outcomes. You will work within a squad, contributing to infrastructure, automation, networking and security across our cloud environment.

The role emphasises collaboration, growth, and ownership of your development path. You should bring a solid cloud engineering foundation, a growth mindset, and a drive to learn.

Qualifications

• Experience with a public cloud platform (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and IaC principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity for new tech.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers and product teams to deliver business outcomes.
• Evolve and support cloud infrastructure, networking, and security capabilities.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and automation practices.
• Work in a modern cloud environment that encourages learning and experimentation.
• Influence technical discussions and squad planning with your expertise.
