Job summary

AA Insurance is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, build, and support scalable cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS. You will implement automation and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, enabling AI-focused workloads and robust deployment pipelines.

You will contribute to security, reliability, and performance while collaborating with the Infrastructure & Security team and colleagues across IT. A proactive, team-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code capability.
• Experience with modern deployment, automation, and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity, and governance principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
• Passion for cloud technology and emerging AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS.
• Developing and managing infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform.
• Supporting cloud platforms that enable AI and development workloads.
• Building and maintaining automated deployment pipelines and cloud automation solutions.
• Monitoring, optimising, and supporting cloud services to ensure performance, security, and reliability.
• Troubleshooting infrastructure issues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintaining technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
