Job summary

Keith Andrews Trucks is seeking an Auto Technician for our Palmerston North workshop. You will diagnose, repair, and service a range of light commercial vehicles, ensuring quality workmanship and timely updates to customers.

The role offers manufacturer training on Fuso and Mercedes-Benz and a clear path for career progression within a Kiwi-owned business. Applicants should have 3+ years in automotive work or a relevant trade, with strong diagnostic and mechanical skills, and ideally a Class 2

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in automotive or a relevant trade qualification.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving and mechanical skills.
• A great attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
• Class 2 licence ideally (Class 5 support available).
• Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain light commercial vehicles (van, Ute, small trucks).
• Perform routine servicing to manufacturer standards.
• Liaise with service team and customers for approvals and updates.
• Accurately document all work carried out.
• Stay up to date with the latest vehicle technology and repair methods.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness and workshop compliance.

What You’ll Be Doing
