Job summary

Centra Motor Co is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our established Timaru dealership. You will service, diagnose and repair a range of passenger and commercial vehicles with the latest diagnostic tools and manufacturer resources.

You'll work a Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00am-5:00pm, with ongoing manufacturer training and clear career development opportunities in a supportive team focused on quality workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Automotive Technician with a recognised automotive qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• Full, current NZ driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across a range of passenger and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Complete vehicle inspections and WOF checks where certified
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer specifications
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and workshop presentation
• Work collaboratively with the wider service team to deliver excellent customer service

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Trade-qualified Automotive Technician with a recognised automotive qualification
• Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive servicing, diagnostics and repairs
• WOF certification would be beneficial but is not essential
• Full, current NZ driver's licence
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship
• Positive attitude, good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team
• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
