Placements24 is seeking a capable Automotive Mechanic to join our service center in Queenstown. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on various vehicle makes and models, with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

You will work as part of a team, using diagnostic tools to identify faults and ensure timely repairs. A valid driver's license is required, and the role offers health insurance and retirement savings options to support long-term stability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic or similar role.
• Good knowledge of engines, brakes, transmissions and suspension.
• Familiar with automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues related to engines, brakes, suspension and steering systems.
• Conduct inspections and identify potential problems before they become major issues.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify electronic and mechanical faults.
• Replace worn or damaged parts according to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools are properly cared for.
