Job summary

Zespri is seeking an Assistant Commercial Analyst to support supplier accountability reporting and commercial analysis. The role reports to the Commercial Analyst and supports the Commercial Management team, the Supply Chain function and the wider industry.

This fixed term contract to March 2028 offers a part-time schedule (22 hours per week) with flexibility across 3–5 days and a range of analytics tasks in a dynamic, global kiwifruit business.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience in an analytical, commercial role.
• Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to manage and manipulate large data sources.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Supplier Accountability reporting and analysis for quality or commercial systems.
• Support Commercial Management, Supply Chain and wider industry with insights.
• Produce weekly reports and ad-hoc quality reports as required.
• Identify process improvements for Supplier Accountability calculations.

This key role within the Commercial team will assist with managing Supplier Accountability reporting within the Zespri Group and providing analysis for any quality or commercial related systems. Reporting to the Commercial Analyst, you will support to the Commercial Management team, the Supply Chain function and the wider industry.

This is a great role for someone who has experience in a commercial environment, such as a Finance Assistant.

Key accountabilities include:

• Assist with the setup of Supplier Accountability systems.
• Management of quality results from our markets including daily approvals to send to Suppliers.
• Calculation of accurate financial outcomes for Supplier Accountability shipments within industry timeframes.
• Reporting quality outcomes to management, suppliers and wider industry.
• Resolving system issues as and when they arise.
• Weekly reporting, including any ad-hoc quality reports required from Commercial and wider the Supply Chain.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement in processes and proactively work to implement any process improvements for the Supplier Accountability calculations.
• Demonstrate customer service excellence in connection with team and business activities.
• Contribute to organisational projects, analysis or any other tasks as and when required.

This fixed term contract to March 2028 is a part time role working 22 hours per week. These hours can be worked across 3, 4 or 5 days.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and have:

• A relevant business tertiary qualification is preferred, but not essential.
• Minimum three years’ experience in an analytical, commercial role.
• Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to manage and manipulate large data sources essential.
• Advanced analytical ability preferred, but not essential.
• SAP advantageous, but not essential.
