Aozora New Zealand is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Export Documentation / Sales Support specialist to join our team in Newmarket, Auckland. This full-time role supports export operations and sales activities, coordinating with sales and logistics and ensuring accurate documentation.

About the role

Aozora New Zealand is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Export Documentation / Sales Support specialist to join our team in Newmarket, Auckland. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our export operations and sales activities. You will be responsible for managing export documentation and ensuring seamless coordination between our sales and logistics team. This is a seasonal industry - busy during the Summer/Autumn months, but with the opportunity for extended leave in the Winter/Spring.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process export documents: commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and customs declarations
• Make sure shipments meet export regulations, trade agreements and customs requirements
• Resolve discrepancies and shipment issues
• Keep accurate records of all export transactions
• Support the sales team with timely and accurate information

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in fresh produce export documentation, customs compliance, or a related role within the import/export industry
• Strong knowledge of export procedures, regulations, and documentation requirements, particularly for New Zealand exports
• Proficiency with customs systems and export documentation software (snapSales, TSW, MPI Trade Certification)
• Candidate must have their own NZ Customs Pin
• Excellent attention to detail
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Knowledge of HS codes, tariff classifications, or trade compliance is advantageous
