Job summary

Classic Group in Tauranga is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technician to join our centralised Design team. You’ll bring dwelling schemes to life as working drawings using ArchiCAD, supporting nationwide branches with high‑quality, compliant design.

You'll mentor junior technicians, collaborate with consultants and councils, and take on larger projects that develop your technical skills. We value initiative, teamwork, and continuous growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with residential design and working drawings is preferred.
• Proactive and detail-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Produce single and dual dwelling scheme plans and working drawings using ArchiCAD.
• Collaborate with branches, consultants and councils to ensure compliance and quality.

About the role.

Located in Tauranga and forming part of a centralised Design team, you will provide support to our nationwide Classic Builders branches by carrying out residential design activities to the highest industry standards.

We are seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technician to join our centralised team in Tauranga. In this varied role, you'll bring single and dual dwelling scheme plans and working drawings to life using the latest ArchiCAD software. This is your chance to take on larger, more complex projects, sharpen your technical expertise, and make a genuine impact through smart, efficient design solutions that keep our clients delighted and our builds compliant with the highest standards.
