Job summary

Fowler Homes, a locally owned residential design and build company in New Zealand, is seeking an experienced architectural designer. You will prepare architectural plans and documentation, complete building consent and resource consent applications, and liaise with clients throughout the design process.

You will also assist with design, pricing and construction phases, working closely with our wider team to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential architectural design in New Zealand
• Good knowledge of NZ Building Code and building consent processes
• Experience preparing building consent and resource consent applications
• Excellent communication and client liaison skills
• Able to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
• Current full NZ Driver Licence
• Full valid working rights in NZ

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing architectural plans and documentation, completing building consent and resource consent applications, and liaising with clients throughout the design process. About you

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in residential architectural design in New Zealand
• A relevant New Zealand qualification in architectural design, or an equivalent overseas qualification
• Good knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and building consent processes
• Experience preparing building consent and resource consent applications
• Strong communication and client liaison skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Proficiency in Revit or similar architectural design software
• A current, full New Zealand Driver Licence
• Full valid working rights in New Zealand (NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident, or an unrestricted Work Visa)
