Job summary

Truck Stops (NZ) Ltd is seeking a motivated Parts Apprentice for Truckstops Tauriko, Tauranga. You will work with our Parts and Service teams to help customers and workshop technicians access the right parts and exceptional service.

You will complete the MITO Apprenticeship Programme, earning a New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Parts and Accessories (Level 3) while developing technical expertise and career progression within Sime Motors.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in trucks, heavy vehicles or automotive industry.
• Willingness to learn and pursue a national qualification.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and workshop technicians with parts enquiries and orders.
• Provide customer service over phone, email and front counter.
• Develop relationships and position Truckstops as supplier of choice for Volvo, Mack, Hino and UD parts.
• Identify and supply truck and trailer parts accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain tidy, organised parts department and support warehouse operations.
• Learn product knowledge, systems and processes.

Are you looking to start a rewarding career in the commercial transport industry? Our brand new Truckstops Tauriko, Tauranga site is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Parts Apprentice to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in trucks, automotive parts, or mechanics who wants to learn from experienced industry professionals while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

Working alongside our Parts and Service teams, you’ll play a key role in supporting both our customers and workshop technicians by ensuring they receive the right parts and exceptional service to keep vehicles operating at their best.

About the Role

Reporting to the Parts Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting customers and workshop technicians with parts enquiries and orders.


• Providing outstanding customer service over the phone, via email, and at the front counter.


• Developing strong customer relationships and helping position Truckstops as the supplier of choice for all things Volvo, Mack, Hino and UD Trucks


• Identifying and supplying truck and trailer parts accurately and efficiently.


• Maintaining a tidy, organised, and professional parts department.


• Supporting warehouse operations, including picking, packing, receipting, and stock replenishment.


• Learning product knowledge, systems, and processes to build your technical expertise.
