Job summary

Truckstops Tauriko in Tauranga is seeking a Parts Apprentice who loves trucks and automotive parts. You will assist customers and workshop technicians, helping them find the right parts and deliver excellent service.

You'll complete a MITO Apprenticeship toward the New Zealand Certificate in Automotive Parts and Accessories (Level 3) while learning product knowledge, systems, and stock control in a supportive team.

• Good computer literacy and willingness to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and workshop technicians with parts enquiries and orders.
• Provide outstanding customer service over phone, email, and at front counter.
• Identify and supply truck and trailer parts accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a tidy, organised, and professional parts department.
• Support warehouse operations including picking, packing, receipting and stock replenishment.
• Learn product knowledge, systems, and processes to build technical expertise.

Are you looking to start a rewarding career in the commercial transport industry? Our brand new Truckstops Tauriko, Tauranga site is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Parts Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in trucks, automotive parts, or mechanics who wants to learn from experienced industry professionals while gaining a nationally recognised qualification. Working alongside our Parts and Service teams, you'll play a key role in supporting both our customers and workshop technicians by ensuring they receive the right parts and exceptional service to keep vehicles operating at their best.

About the Role

• Assisting customers and workshop technicians with parts enquiries and orders.
• Providing outstanding customer service over the phone, via email, and at the front counter.
• Developing strong customer relationships and helping position Truckstops as the supplier of choice for all things Volvo, Mack, Hino and UD Trucks.
• Identifying and supplying truck and trailer parts accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining a tidy, organised, and professional parts department.
• Supporting warehouse operations, including picking, packing, receipting, and stock replenishment.
• Learning product knowledge, systems, and processes to build your technical expertise.
