Job summary

The Department of Corrections NZ is seeking an experienced AOD Clinician to join our Papakura-based team in a permanent, part-time role (24 hours per week, 48 hours per fortnight). Monday to Friday.

You will deliver holistic, culturally responsive assessment, treatment and outreach within a community-based AOD service for adults 18 and over, working in a dual Peer Support and Clinician model with Peer Support Specialists.

Qualifications

• This role requires experience in AOD/mental health settings and culturally responsive practice.
• Registration with DAPAANZ is preferred and CPR/First Aid certification is essential.
• Ability to work within a Dual Peer Support and Clinician model in community settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive AOD assessments and develop recovery-focused plans.
• Provide tailored therapeutic interventions and risk management.
• Work with Peer Support Specialists to deliver person-centred care.
• Build relationships with whānau and community services; maintain clinical records.
• Deliver group education and ensure services are trauma-informed and recovery-driven.
