Job summary

Fusion5 is seeking an AOC Operator in Auckland to support and optimise AI agents, ensuring reliability, security and performance for real-world customer outcomes.

You will investigate issues across AI agents, APIs, and cloud services, drive incidents to resolution, and develop automation to improve efficiency while collaborating with engineering teams.

Fusion5 is looking for an AOC Operator to join our growing Agent Operations Centre (AOC) and help customers operate AI agents with confidence.

The Opportunity

AI agents are becoming part of everyday business, and keeping them reliable, secure, and effective requires talented people who can investigate issues, understand business impact, and make smart engineering decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Investigating issues across AI agents, APIs, integrations, and cloud services
• Identifying root causes and driving incidents through to resolution
• Communicating clearly with customers and internal teams
• Implementing controlled operational improvements and changes
• Building scripts, automations, and tooling to improve efficiency
• Contributing to product enhancements alongside engineering teams
• Developing runbooks, documentation, and operational best practices
• Protecting customer trust through strong security and governance practices

About You

You're a curious and proactive problem solver who enjoys investigating complex technical challenges and turning insights into practical solutions. With experience across software, cloud, or AI technologies, you're comfortable working with code, APIs, and automation, and can clearly communicate technical concepts to a range of audiences. Most importantly, you're excited by AI and thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

You will bring:

• A mix of technical capability, curiosity, and operational judgement, including:
• Experience troubleshooting software, cloud, or integrated business systems
• Exposure to building, supporting, integrating, or debugging AI/LLM-based applications
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences
• A proactive mindset and desire to continually improve systems and processes
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, observability platforms, service management tools, or cloud optimisation will be highly regarded.
