Job summary

DEFEND is a leading New Zealand cybersecurity company seeking a Reporting and Analytics Lead to shape data-driven decision making. You will lead the reporting capability, design semantic models and deliver analytics across the business.

You will build Power BI reports, dashboards and analytical solutions to provide leaders with meaningful financial and operational insights, collaborating with stakeholders and driving data governance and modelling in a hybrid, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and managing reporting, BI or analytics solutions.
• Strong understanding of data governance and reporting controls.
• Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with Power BI and SQL in finance, operations or technology environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead DEFEND’s Reporting and Analytics capability: design, development and continuous improvement of reporting, semantic models and analytical insights across the business.
• Deliver trusted insights: design, develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models and analytical solutions.
• Drive business performance through analytics: support forecasting, planning, performance management and strategic decision making.
• Shape our data future: collaborate with internal teams to develop reports and analytics that create business value.
