Job summary

Equifax in Auckland leads the Data and Analytics team with hands-on leadership to turn complex data into actionable visual solutions. You will guide cross-functional efforts, build dashboards, establish data access standards, and mentor junior teammates to drive business success.

The role focuses on delivering NZ insights, advancing data visualisation methodologies, and coordinating with IT, sales, and clients to implement robust data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM major or equivalent quantitative discipline.
• 7–10 years in data analytics or data science.
• Proven hands-on leadership, coaching and mentoring junior team members.
• Experience writing Python, JavaScript and SQL.
• Experience extracting and transforming data with SQL, R, Hive, Impala or Python.
• Hands-on visualization experience using Spotfire or open-source tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional initiatives to build high-impact dashboards.
• Coach junior team members to drive business success.
• Design, document, test, and support data visual solutions with clients.
• Develop standards for data visualization, access, and integration.
• Create tailored dashboards and reports summarising complex data.
• Produce presentation-ready visuals and analyses with Tableau-like tools.
