Job summary

DEFEND is seeking a Reporting and Analytics Lead to drive the design, development and continuous improvement of reporting, semantic models, and analytics across the business. You will deliver trusted insights and dashboards in Power BI to support forecasting, planning and decision making.

You will collaborate with internal teams to shape the data roadmap, simplify complex data problems and communicate outcomes clearly to executives and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and managing reporting, BI or analytics solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Power BI, Dataflows Gen2 and semantic models.
• Experience building financial, operational or commercial reporting and dashboard solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

What You'll Do

• Lead DEFEND's Reporting and Analytics capability: you'll be driving and implementing the design, development and continuous improvement of reporting, semantic models and analytical insights across the business.

Requirements

The skills & experience you will bring to DEFEND

• Proven experience developing and managing reporting, business intelligence or analytics solutions.


• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Power BI, Dataflows Gen2 and semantic models.


• Experience building financial, operational or commercial reporting and dashboard solutions.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.


• Strong understanding of data governance, validation, documentation and reporting controls.


• Experience with Power Query, DAX, SQL and modern data modelling practices.


• A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for simplifying complex problems through data.


• The ability to manage competing priorities and operate successfully in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.


• Experience in finance, commercial reporting or technology-driven organisations will be highly regarded.
