Job summary

DEFEND in Auckland is seeking a Reporting and Analytics Lead to drive data-driven decision making. You will design, develop, and continually improve reporting, semantic models and insights across the business, delivering trusted financial and operational dashboards.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to forecast, plan and track performance, shaping our data future with scalable analytics and value-driven reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and managing reporting, BI or analytics solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI, Dataflows Gen2 and semantic models.
• Experience building financial, operational or commercial reporting and dashboards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate data into insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication, able to explain technical concepts.
• Understanding of data governance, validation and reporting controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead DEFEND's Reporting and Analytics capability across design, development and continuous improvement.
• Deliver trusted insights by building Power BI reports, dashboards and analytic solutions.
• Drive business performance through forecasting, planning and strategic decision making.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop reports and analytics that create business value.
