ANZ is seeking an Agri Relationship Associate to support Relationship Managers by providing customer solutions and insights through financial analysis and lending support for designated customer groups. The RA will develop credit and relationship skills and within 12 months may hold a small CAD and manage 3+ accounts at senior discretion.

The role is based at Nelson Branch and is permanent with standard hours.

Qualifications

• Strong financial literacy and analytical ability.
• Experience in developing customer strategies and engaging with customers.
• Understanding of lending security arrangements and credit considerations.
• Experience in banking or credit-related roles is advantageous but not required.

Mō te tūranga - About the role

As a Relationship Associate, you will be responsible for supporting Relationship Managers (RM) in making banking easier for customers and providing customer solutions and insights by conducting financial analysis, and lending support for designated customer groups.The RA will develop credit and relationship skills and within 12 months of role commencement they may hold a small CAD and manage 3 or more accounts (at Senior Manager and credit discretion). The role is ideal for emerging staff with the potential to take on Relationship Management responsibilities.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

• Great financial literacy, analytical skills, commercial and business acumen
• Strong analytical ability to assess and interpret implications of financial trends
• Prior experience in developing strong relationships in a customer delivery/ customer experience role
• Sound understanding of the structuring of security arrangements
• Experience in the banking industry, lending or credit-related roles is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Preferably possesses an accounting or finance degree or equivalent, though not a strict requirement
