Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Product Specialist to join our Advanced Surgery team in New Zealand, covering the South Auckland territory (Middlemore, Waikato, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki). You will drive revenue growth by managing key accounts, developing new business, and promoting the Advanced Surgery portfolio with clinicians and hospital staff.

The role requires strong territory management, commercial acumen and the ability to travel across the region.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in medical/science or business.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a commercial/sales role within Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical is desirable.
• Knowledge of value-based selling and Key Account Management is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Hospital/Healthcare systems is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal effectiveness and relationship-building abilities.
• Accountable for achieving targets and delivering outstanding customer service.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve communicated sales budgets by penetrating profitable sales of Advanced Surgery products into key accounts within the territory.
• Build relationships with clinical and management staff in accounts.
• Represent features and benefits of the Advanced Surgery portfolio to customers and prospects.
• Maintain profitability in the area of responsibility with sales/marketing.
• Provide market information and data to maintain marketplace understanding.
• Identify incremental business opportunities and develop strategies to convert them.
• Facilitate product presentations to drive product usage in key specialties.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver outcomes for customers and the business.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge for effective communication with customers.
• Collaborate on account management plans and monthly reviews to monitor outcomes.
