A Administration Support Officer role is based at the Hawke’s Bay Regional Prison, Hastings. It is a full-time fixed-term contract for 7 months, combining accounts, general admin and hands-on delivery duties within the prison site.
The role requires strong Excel skills, good written and spoken communication, confidentiality and physical fitness to unload pallets and move stock. Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand and a valid NZ driver’s licence.

This is an essential role that is responsible for receiving inwards goods for distribution around Hawkes Bay Regional Prison, in an efficient and effective manner, ensuring that deliveries are timely in accordance with prison rules, routines and procedures. You will be physically delivering goods around the site daily, so this position will help keep your steps up and gets you out from behind the desk. This is a big site so physical fitness is essential, as there is a bit of walking involved to make the deliveries across the site. This varied role encompasses accounts and office support and is based within the prison site in Hastings. The below provides a snapshot of what a day might look like but does not cover it all:
