Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to join the Shared Transaction Centre. You will support the Team Leader, optimise automated financial processing, and improve service delivery across the organisation.

Key duties include high-volume invoice processing, supplier maintenance, and weekly/monthly payment runs. A complex, fast-paced environment and adherence to policy are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable and pay-to-purchase in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong ERP experience (PeopleSoft) and advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated organisational and analytical abilities.
• Capable of delivering accurate, high-throughput processing with good service.
• Commitment to policy, control and compliance in every transaction.

Responsibilities

• Handle requisition requests and high-volume invoice processing.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve exceptions.
• Manage receipting escalations and supplier maintenance/setup.
• Coordinate foreign and domestic pay runs with Treasury and banks.
• Identify improvements and automation opportunities in AP/P2P.
