Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers is seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our Auckland-based Finance team. This hands-on role supports day-to-day financial operations, including AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations and general finance administration from the outset.
You will handle supplier invoices, invoicing, receipts allocations and bank reconciliations, with payroll experience being advantageous.
$65,000 – $75,000 per year (based on experience)
We are looking for an experienced, capable and dependable Accounts Administrator to join our Auckland-based Finance team.
This is a hands-on accounts role supporting the day-to-day financial operations of one of New Zealand’s largest independent financial adviser network. Practical accounts administration experience is essentialyou will need to be comfortable working across accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, reconciliations and general finance administration from the outset.
You will support a broad range of day-to-day accounts activities, including:
Processing supplier invoices and preparing payment runs
Raising invoices and managing accounts receivable
Allocating receipts and payments
Completing bank, credit card and other account reconciliations
Processing employee expenses and company credit cards
Assisting with payroll processing and records
Supporting month-end processes and financial reporting
Maintaining accurate supplier, customer and financial records
Assisting with adviser commissions and other finance transactions
Responding to finance enquiries from staff, member businesses and suppliers
Supporting audit preparation and identifying opportunities to improve finance processes
To be successful, you will need at least two years’ New Zealand practical accounts administration, finance administration or bookkeeping experience, including hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
You will also bring:
Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
Confidence learning new systems and processes
Clear and professional written and spoken English
A positive, helpful and proactive approach
Sound judgement, integrity and discretion
Payroll experience or experience within professional or financial services would be an advantage, but is not essential.
