Job summary

Daily Bread in Waitakere, North Island, is seeking an 2IC/Assistant Cafe Manager to lead front-of-house operations and support the Store Manager.

You will mentor the FOH team, ensure top quality coffee, manage stock and create a welcoming environment for staff and customers, with early starts at 6:00am.

This full-time role rewards team spirit, excellent communication, and hands-on leadership to uphold the Daily Bread vibe daily.

Qualifications

• Must be barista skilled and able to produce quality coffee quickly.
• Ability to lead and support a FOH team.
• Excellent communication with staff and customers.
• Flexibility for early mornings (6:00am).
• NZ working rights proof required.

Assistant Cafe Manager/2IC Front of House at Daily Bread. Full-time position reporting to Store Manager and Head of Retail. Works closely with FOH team, Baristas, Production team, and Distribution team.

Key responsibilities

Create a safe and welcoming experience for staff and customers

Champion the Daily Bread way and maintain the DB vibe throughout the business

Assist with the growth and development of your team

Support team with any issues or concerns that may arise each day

Delegate tasks appropriately throughout the day

Work with the Store Manager to ensure a team environment and that operations run smoothly day-to-day

Order stock to an appropriate level each day and minimise wastage

Ensure the barista team is correctly managing stock levels

About you

Must be barista skilled and able to produce quality coffee at a fast pace

Must be okay with early morning starts - 6:00am
