Oranga Tamariki’s National Contact Centre in Auckland invites applications for Support Worker roles on fixed‑term contracts through June 2027. The NCC operates 24/7 to support tamariki and whānau, handling contacts from the public and professionals and supporting social workers with workflow across both day and afterhours shifts.

Formación

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers and stakeholders.
• Emotional resilience in high-stress situations.
• Understanding cross-cultural practices, including te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Responsabilidades

• Screening calls and updating records.
• Analyzing information to support timely decisions by Social Workers.
• Responding to requests and maintaining accurate records.
• Providing information sharing support and coordinating activities.
• Using systems to document information and support service delivery.
• Building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Escalating issues requiring assessment or action.
• Contributing to outcomes for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.
