Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a marine installation engineer to perform installation analysis and provide technical support for subsea cables. You will automate analyses with scripts and tools to boost efficiency, contributing across project phases, especially detailed engineering, within multidisciplinary teams.

Applicants should have a degree in marine/offshore disciplines, 2+ years’ marine operations experience, and knowledge of OrcaFlex. Programming in Python and web app experience are valued assets.

Requirements

Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (marine/offshore/ocean technology, naval architecture) or another engineering degree with relevant marine experience
2+ years of experience in marine operations or offshore installation
Knowledge of and experience with OrcaFlex or similar time-domain analysis tool
Programming skills (Python or similar) for scripting and automation of workflows
Experience developing and maintaining web applications is an advantage
Overview of and familiarity with applicable design codes, industry standards, and legislative requirements
Strong analytical skills

Ability to work in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision
Ability to organize and prioritize own work
