Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a marine installation engineer to perform installation analysis and provide technical support for subsea cables. You will automate analyses with scripts and tools to boost efficiency, contributing across project phases, especially detailed engineering, within multidisciplinary teams.

Applicants should have a degree in marine/offshore disciplines, 2+ years’ marine operations experience, and knowledge of OrcaFlex. Programming in Python and web app experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Degree in marine/offshore/ocean technology, naval architecture or similar with marine experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation analysis and provide technical support for high voltage subsea cables.
• Automate analysis and develop internal tools to increase analysis efficiency.
• Perform analyses throughout all project phases, mainly during detailed engineering.
• Work in multidisciplinary project teams focused on marine installation activities.
• Collaborate with project engineers to refine procedures and task plans for marine operations based on analysis results.
• Interface regularly with clients and third parties on technical matters.
• Potentially undertake offshore assignments onboard vessels to follow up installations.
