Job summary

Reach Subsea in Bergen is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our Monitoring Engineering team. You will contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of electronics, instruments and electro‑mechanical systems for subsea operations.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering or Physics is required, along with hands-on experience with PCB design, microcontrollers, and sensor systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, Physics or related discipline.
• Comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of electronic development, PCB design, microcontrollers, or FPGA/VHDL is an advantage.
• Opportunity to participate in offshore surveys when required.
• Hands-on experience with product development, electronic design, and PCB design.

Responsibilities

• Electronic design, simulations and PCB design.
• Assembly of circuitry, soldering and small-scale electronic manufacturing.
• Setting up and conducting tests for sensors and systems during product development and survey preparations.
• Maintenance of equipment and instruments.
• Assembly and modification of mechanical components and systems.
• Supporting technical documentation related to development activities.
• Participating in offshore surveys when required.

Who are we looking for?

We believe you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

Experience or knowledge within some of the following areas would be an advantage:

• Electronic development and PCB design
• Microcontrollers and embedded programming
• FPGA/VHDL
• Electronic laboratory equipment and instruments
• Instrumentation and sensor systems
• Analysis and simulation tools
• Mechanical workshop and hand tools
• Marine, subsea or geophysical technology

You should be comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken, and enjoy solving technical challenges with a practical and collaborative approach.
