Role Purpose
As a Senior Engineer, you will take a leading role in delivering safe, reliable and fit-for-purpose mechanical engineering solutions for complex subsea projects and equipment.
You will:
Lead mechanical engineering and design activities for significant projects and complex scopes, applying advanced technical expertise across mechanical engineering, systems and equipment.
Develop and evaluate mechanical concepts, layouts, detailed designs, calculations and technical documentation in accordance with project requirements, applicable standards and customer expectations.
Solve complex engineering and execution challenges, make sound technical decisions, anticipate risks and take ownership of technical deliverables and risks within your assigned scope.
Apply strong knowledge of mechanical systems, relevant codes and standards, and project execution to deliver practical, high-quality engineering solutions.
Consider system-level interfaces and integration across disciplines, lead complex technical interfaces and influence technical direction.
Participate in engineering planning, design reviews, verification, validation and technical problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with other disciplines, suppliers, fabrication, procurement, quality and testing to coordinate interfaces and support successful project delivery.
Support supplier follow-up, manufacturing, assembly, testing, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting as required.
Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable requirements, standards, quality systems and HSE expectations.
Identify, communicate and resolve technical risks, deviations, non-conformities and engineering issues within your scope.
Contribute to engineering changes, product improvements, lifecycle support and continuous improvement of engineering processes and ways of working.
Guide and mentor less experienced engineers, communicate technical matters clearly and share relevant knowledge across the engineering team.
Work with a high degree of independence, seeking appropriate support or escalation when required.
Travel as required for relevant engineering and project activities.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (strong relevant experience can be a substitute.
Four or more years of relevant experience.
Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and ability to apply relevant codes and standards.
Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach.
Ability to manage own workload and deliverables within agreed timelines.
